Based on the information from Immigration New Zealand, there are several visa types available depending on your specific study goals, age, and situation.
Primary Student Visas
If you intend to study in New Zealand for more than 3 months, you will likely need one of the following:
Fee Paying Student Visa: The most common visa for international students who are paying the full cost of their courses.
Pathway Student Visa: Allows you to study up to three consecutive courses on a single visa for up to 5 years.
Dependent Child Student Visa: For children whose parents are in New Zealand on certain work or student visas.
Exchange Student Visa: For those participating in an approved tertiary or school-to-school exchange program.
Specialized Study Visas
English Language Student Visa: Specifically for those coming to study English full-time.
Vocational Trainee Student Visa: For those undertaking specific vocational training.
NZ Government Scholarship Student Visa: For students funded by the New Zealand government.
Foreign Government Supported Student Visa: For students supported by their own government's scholarship programs.
